OpenExchange Launches a new Event Centre in London with — what else? — a High-Touch Hybrid Event
Capital MarketsHybrid EventsInvestor RelationsVirtual EventsThere’s a new first-of-its-kind venue in London specifically designed for originating high-quality virtual and high-touch hybrid investor events, and it comes — of course — from OpenExchange.
The OE Event Centre – London is now up and running and is already booking dozens of virtual meetings, conferences, roadshows, investor days, and other events for the rest of 2021 and into 2022.
The new facility, centrally located near Farringdon Station in London, was officially unveiled last evening with an event that combined in-person and remote attendees into a single unified experience — in other words, a hybrid event. Both local and remote attendees were able to check in with a personalized agenda on their mobile devices using OE Passport, one of the cornerstone applications of OE VIZION, the next-generation platform for virtual and hybrid events.
The Event Centre is designed to be used by a wide variety of OpenExchange clients to host virtual and hybrid investor events in an environment that is specifically designed for the purpose. OpenExchange clients include the top ten global investment banks, investment management firms, executives and investor relations teams from public and pre-public companies, and investor communications teams from major private equity and venture capital firms.
“There are three distinct spaces within the Event Centre,” explained Ben Burnside, OE’s Head of EMEA, in his remarks at the opening event. “First, there’s a Broadcast Centre that allows TV-quality production to be overlaid on top of the hosted meetings that you’re accustomed to doing with OE. Second, there’s an Execution Control Centre allowing you to embed here with our team on the day of execution of any live event you do with us. And of course, there are best-in-class video conference rooms — conveniently-located, secure spaces that you can come do virtual meetings with offsite attendees.”
“Now we get to reimagine how meetings are going to work between virtual and physical, and that’s what we imagine in this space with hybrid formats,” said OpenExchange CEO Mark Loehr. “When I first walked into this space on Sunday, this was the full-expression of what I’d hoped it would be. I wanted it to be a combination of physical and virtual, state-of-the-art — a vibe that you all could feel you could come to, your clients could come to and feel comfortable. We want to be thought leaders with you, and we think this space will allow us to do that.”
