London, UK — OpenExchange has been chosen to play a key role in transforming the Nordoff Robbins’ The Stars Come Out at Christmas annual event special into a livestreamed global virtual concert event on Tuesday, December 15. The virtual event will be livecast through OpenExchange’s Knovio smart media platform and Openexchange.tv for viewers across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
The event, streamed virtually for the first time, will be hosted by Nile Rodgers and will feature readings, musical performances and festive messages from top artists including Sir Rod Stewart, Robbie Williams, Sir Cliff Richard, Saving Grace, Florence Welch, Roger Daltrey from The Who, OneRepublic, Kaiser Chiefs, Simple Minds, Rebecca Ferguson, and more.
While the adoption to virtual platforms has accelerated in 2020, OpenExchange believes the movement from in-person meetings, conferences and performances to video events is just scratching the surface as organizations are increasingly realizing the benefits of the technology – with the Nordoff Robbins’ Christmas special being the latest example of this ongoing trend.
During a time when many are impacted by the global pandemic this holiday season, OpenExchange is proud to be helping bring people together and raise funds for this important cause. This year, like many businesses across the world, Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy has been hit hard. The charity is expecting to lose around 75% of its fundraising income, meaning it will not be able to help as many people with the power of music as it has in years past – even though it is needed now more than ever.
