These appointments come as OpenExchange recently celebrated a record year with revenue growth of over 100%, an expanded partnership with London Stock Exchange Group, the acquisitions of Veracast and Nucleus 195, a completed Series D capital raise, and the progression of OpenExchange.tv. In 2021, OpenExchange executed nearly 600 conferences and delivered over 180,000 individual meetings. With this growth, the need for additional seasoned executive talent became apparent.
Herb Werth joined OpenExchange as Chief Product Officer and is responsible for the product, engineering, and marketing departments. Herb brings proven success in building and growing businesses, launching products, and driving high levels of client engagement. He previously held senior leadership roles in IHS Markit, Ipreo, Bloomberg, and several investment banks.
Tanya Thomas joined OpenExchange as Chief Growth Officer responsible for virtual events and conferences in industry groups outside of OE’s core financial services clients into new industry verticals, including healthcare, legal, consumer, and professional services. Tanya’s extensive experience in events and conferences enabled GDS Group, where she was CEO and Chief Sales Officer, to move from primarily physical events to entirely virtual while still growing revenues. She was previously Group Sales Director at UBM.
Kim Blue joined OpenExchange as Chief People Officer, overseeing the HR organization after holding senior roles at ESPN and Microsoft and most recently as Global Head of People Experience Partners at Zoom. Kim’s leadership experience in implementing human resource strategies for technology, telecommunications, and entertainment industries provides opportunities for continued development.
Michael Blumstein joined OpenExchange as Chief Financial Officer. Mike most recently held executive roles as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Oak Hill Advisors. He was previously a top-ranking insurance research analyst, the Head of Equity Research for Morgan Stanley North America, and the CFO for Gerson Lehrman Group. He has direct experience facilitating more than 20 IPOs and brings a wealth of operational knowledge to OpenExchange.
Emilia Tapsall, a seasoned veteran of OpenExchange, recently became Chief Delivery Officer. Emilia’s dedication to growing OpenExchange is demonstrated in her ability to scale and develop the talent of 2,000 video specialists and live stream operators entrusted to power the OE delivery team. She formerly held roles as Senior Vice President, Global Delivery, and Vice President of Business Strategy at OpenExchange and began her career as an investment banking analyst at Deutsche Bank.
