Points to note about the upload template:

  1. Orange columns are optional, but including them provides richer data – especially if it is to be displayed to attendees within OE Meet Links or OE Passport.

    • Attendee Title is particularly important so that Investors know the Role of the person they are meeting

  2. External Organization ID and Organization Name must be unique within the event; it is not permitted to have ‘Google’ with ID 123 and ‘Google’ with ID 345.

    • If you upload ‘Google’ with ID 123 and later you upload ‘Alphabet’ with ID 123, the system will change the name of Organization 123 from Google to Alphabet.

  3. External Attendee ID and Attendee Email must be unique in the event. You cannot have ‘[email protected]’ with ID 123 and ‘[email protected]’ with ID 345.

  4. If the client does not provide External IDs for Organization and Attendees, you could paste Organization names / attendee emails into those columns. However, this would mean that if you upload ‘Google’, and later you upload ‘Alphabet’, the system will think those are 2 different companies. The same will happen if you upload ‘[email protected]’ and later you upload ‘[email protected]’; those will be interpreted as 2 different people.

  5. If the client does not provide External Meeting IDs, you could try to create these by combining meeting dates, times and presenters. However, it may not be easy or even possible to do this – getting Meeting IDs from the client is strongly advised.

  6. The ‘Attendee Meeting Role’ indicates the role the individual is playing in that meeting. There are 3 values accepted – deliberately generic, so that they would apply to any meeting in any sector or context:

    • Presenter: Someone providing the content or the subject matter of the meeting. For Financial Services, usually the Issuer, but could be an Analyst in an Analyst Marketing event

    • Participant: Someone consuming the content of the meeting. For Financial Services, usually the Investor

    • Host: Someone facilitating, moderating, hosting / brokering the meeting. For Financial Services, usually the Bank; a Salesperson or Analyst, for example.

  7. Attendee Organization Type: This is not a required field, but you could use it to derive the Role for each attendee. We do not expect clients to provide our terminology of Presenter / Participant / Host.

Organization and Attendee Import

From the Organizations and Attendees tabs, you can upload a CSV of Organizations and / or Attendees to the Event.

Below is the CSV template for the import. Required fields are in Green, optional fields in Orange – note; you can exclude all fields related to Attendees and only import Organizations. But if you do want to import Attendees then all the Green fields are required.
